About UsText Box:  OUR MISSION:  To improve access to resources and advocate for solutions to issues that are not typically available to underprivileged populations such as fair lending practices, homeownership education and debt education.    Advocates for Financial Independence is a PHFA approved comprehensive housing counseling agency.  Our agency assists individuals in Philadelphia and Delaware Counties.  Our organization’s focus is on increasing the chances that our clients will keep whatever assets they have while reorganizing their finances.  Our staff has years of experience working with this population.  We are counselors with degrees in social work, law, and paralegal studies.  We believe that by bringing these unique skills to our clients we will be able to assist them in gaining access to resources and receiving a level of service that most agencies can not.    We provide FREE counseling for our clients.  Through our evaluation process we can identify the solution that best fits your situation.    It is our pleasure to help you solve your problem.
